Introduction
This full-service small animal hospital in San Tan Valley, Arizona is seeking a Medical Director to lead its established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others, shaping hospital culture, and driving clinical excellence while continuing to practise high-quality medicine. You’ll have the opportunity to build on a strong foundation while leading a collaborative team committed to outstanding patient and client care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
You’ll divide your time between clinical work and leadership, providing medical oversight, mentoring fellow veterinarians, and partnering with the Practice Manager to support the hospital’s continued growth. The role includes maintaining high clinical standards, developing team members, implementing new ideas, and helping expand services while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

Practice Details
This modern companion animal hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, offering preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and routine surgical procedures. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, and Antech reference laboratory support, giving doctors the tools to practise efficient, evidence-based medicine. With a strong operational foundation already in place, this is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to make a lasting impact while benefiting from leadership development, mentorship, and continuing education resources. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with the final appointment scheduled at 4:00pm to support a healthy work-life balance.

The hospital has built a collaborative and supportive culture focused on exceptional patient care and long-term client relationships. The Medical Director will work closely with the Practice Manager while mentoring the veterinary team and helping guide the hospital’s continued success.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
