Introduction
Our client is a practice providing small animal general veterinary care and is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their modern, fully equipped hospital. This is a leadership opportunity within a well-established clinic delivering high-quality medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with weekend coverage required on Saturdays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will lead the clinical team while delivering high-quality veterinary care across a general practice caseload. Responsibilities include overseeing medical standards, mentoring and supporting the veterinary team, and ensuring excellent patient care and client communication. Clinical duties include performing soft tissue surgeries such as spay/neuter, mass removal, laceration repair, cystotomy, gastropexy, and enucleation, alongside providing preventative wellness care. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to medical excellence.

Practice Details
This is a small animal general practice with an average daily patient volume of approximately 14.5 patients per doctor and a support staff ratio of approximately 1–3 per DVM. The facility is a 4,000 sq ft modern hospital with 3 exam rooms, equipped with in-house laboratories for blood and urine testing, digital radiology, ultrasound, dental services, and digital dental radiography. The clinic offers a wide range of services including wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter procedures, parasite prevention, microchipping, surgery, and end-of-life care. The practice promotes a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on communication, medical excellence, and professional growth, with strong support from skilled technicians and leadership.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
