Introduction
Our client is a general practice seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their team. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership role within a well-established clinic.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee both clinical and leadership responsibilities within a general practice setting. Daily duties include managing a caseload of wellness visits, sick patients, surgery, and dentistry, while maintaining high standards of patient care. The role requires strong surgical skills and a commitment to continuous growth, excellence, and fostering long-term client relationships. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. It is a long-standing general practice with strong community ties, serving the area since 1986 and maintaining a high volume of positive client feedback. The clinic sees an average of 16–20 patients per day and offers a wide range of services including wellness care, vaccinations, illness and injury treatment, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter procedures, parasite prevention, deworming, microchipping, pet surgery, and nutrition counseling, along with pharmacy services. The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, and a dental machine, allowing for efficient and accurate diagnostics. The culture is collaborative and efficient, with a strong focus on compassionate care and long-term client relationships.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a tenured support team with a 2:1 support staff ratio. The environment is collaborative, efficient, and made up of highly trained, dedicated veterinary professionals who are passionate about patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
