Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care for cats and dogs and has been serving its community for over 41 years.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will be responsible for the full scope of general practice responsibilities alongside leadership duties. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable combining clinical responsibilities with leadership. Veterinarians work four 10-hour shifts, averaging one Saturday per month, with a half day off during the week when working a Saturday.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and is committed to using fear-free techniques whenever possible. It is well equipped with the latest veterinary technology and services, including digital radiology, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, and in-house laboratory capabilities. The hospital provides the full scope of general practice services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Opening hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 8:30am to 1:00pm.

Team
The hospital has a collaborative team of four veterinarians supported by a great team of support staff. The doctor team has over 100 years of combined experience and offers a conducive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
