Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join its team, providing an exciting opportunity to combine clinical excellence with veterinary leadership and management while caring for cats and dogs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role combines the full scope of general practice responsibilities with leadership duties, offering the opportunity to guide the clinical team while delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and overall clinical oversight. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the practice is closed on weekends. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The practice is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, an in-house laboratory, a pharmacy, and a wide range of additional medical and surgical equipment. The practice provides a full scope of GP services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, radiology, rehabilitation, hospitalization, daytime emergency care when scheduling allows, in-house bloodwork, and end-of-life care.

Team
The team consists of one DVM supported by a well-trained support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
