Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team, providing high-quality care for cats and dogs. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to combine hands-on clinical work with a leadership role in a well-equipped general practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position combines full-scope general practice responsibilities with leadership duties, allowing you to remain actively involved in patient care while helping to lead the hospital and support the team. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Doctor hours are open to discussion. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian, ideally with two or more years of experience.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The facility features an expansive floor plan with six exam rooms, spacious treatment areas, a large surgical suite, and a separate laundry and kennel area. It is equipped with state-of-the-art, brand-new equipment and offers a full scope of general practice services, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry.

Team
The hospital is home to one DVM who is supported by a great team of support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
