Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that has been serving its community with compassionate and valuable pet care for over 40 years. The hospital is seeking a Medical Director to lead the team in delivering high-quality care to cats and dogs.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with doctor hours open to discussion. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. There are no weekend opening hours, and scheduling flexibility can be discussed for the right candidate.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for providing the full scope of GP responsibilities alongside leadership of the clinical team. This includes overseeing medical standards, supporting and guiding the team, and ensuring excellent patient care across all services. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian only.
Practice Details
The state-of-the-art facility includes surgical and multi-faceted medical equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, an in-house laboratory, a pharmacy, and more. The hospital provides complete care including preventative and wellness services, radiology, dentistry, surgery, rehabilitation, hospitalization capabilities, daytime ER care (if the schedule allows), in-house bloodwork, and end-of-life care. The team also partners with the local community, including a Licensed Dog Trainer who works with patients on behavior management.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
