Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you’ll divide your time between providing urgent care for companion animals and leading the clinical direction of the hospital. You’ll mentor and support fellow veterinarians, establish medical protocols, maintain high standards of patient care, and work closely with the hospital leadership team to drive operational success. The caseload includes same-day appointments for urgent medical conditions such as gastrointestinal illness, dermatological conditions, wounds, lameness, respiratory disease, toxin ingestion, and urinary issues, allowing you to focus on diagnosis, treatment planning, and client communication.

Practice Details
This purpose-built urgent care hospital has been designed around efficient workflows that maximise doctor time with patients while reducing administrative workload. Veterinarians are supported by a team of four to six associates per doctor, including dedicated medical record assistants, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering outstanding patient care. Open daily from 10:00am to 8:00pm, the hospital provides same-day urgent care services in a modern, welcoming environment equipped with the technology and resources needed to deliver high-quality medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
