Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a general practice hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead clinical standards within a well-established practice.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine clinical and leadership responsibilities, delivering high-quality care including wellness exams, sick visits, surgery, and dental procedures. The role involves mentoring and supporting team members, maintaining high medical standards, and fostering a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include managing a varied caseload, overseeing case quality, and ensuring excellent client communication and patient outcomes. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is an AAHA-accredited facility equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and dental x-ray, with hands-free radiology and fear-free techniques practiced where possible. The hospital offers a wide range of services including wellness exams, preventive care, diagnostics, dental care, general surgery, hospitalization, pain management, and routine procedures such as spay and neuter surgeries and mass removals. The practice is located near 24-hour specialty care and emphasizes high-quality medicine within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a tenured support team, creating a collaborative and well-supported environment focused on delivering excellent patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
