Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing 24-hour emergency veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Director Veterinarian to join the team on a full-time basis. Established in 1976, the hospital combines relationship-driven patient care with the speed, precision, and expertise required for emergency medicine and has served its community for nearly five decades.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Medical Director Veterinarian will provide medical leadership while remaining involved in high-quality clinical medicine. The role will focus on leading and developing the medical team, fostering collaboration, supporting the development of veterinary professionals, and helping raise standards of care across the hospital. Clinical responsibilities include caring for urgent and critically ill patients requiring emergency intervention, advanced diagnostics, surgery, and intensive monitoring. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian with a people-focused approach to medical leadership.

Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive emergency, diagnostic, surgical, and specialized intensive care services and is supported by a strong local referral network. Advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities include endoscopy, which can be used for minimally invasive evaluation and foreign body removal when appropriate. The hospital provides emergency care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, supporting patients experiencing urgent and life-threatening conditions.

The hospital has seven DVMs and a great tenured support team. The medical team operates within a collaborative environment centered on teamwork, respect, an emotionally intelligent and supportive culture, work-life balance, and leadership within the veterinary community. The Emergency Medical Director will play an active role in developing colleagues and supporting continued collaboration across the team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
