Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for the full scope of Veterinary Medical Director responsibilities while serving as the clinical leader and medical voice of the hospital. This position balances hands-on clinical practice with leadership duties, with the majority of time dedicated to direct patient care while also overseeing medical quality, mentoring and developing associate veterinarians, and fostering a culture centered on compassion, collaboration, and excellence. The Medical Director will lead by example in delivering exceptional feline medicine while partnering closely with the Practice Manager to provide medical oversight of hospital operations and care delivery. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining high clinical standards, supporting professional growth within the veterinary team, ensuring positive client experiences, and helping achieve both hospital performance metrics and business goals. This position requires a minimum commitment of 35 hours per week and is best suited to an experienced veterinarian with at least 3-5 years of clinical experience, with previous leadership experience preferred.

Practice Details
This feline-exclusive hospital provides the full scope of GP services within a modern and highly specialized environment designed specifically for feline patients. Operating from Monday through Saturday, the hospital combines advanced diagnostics, progressive medicine, and a cat-focused approach to patient care. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology including but not limited to in-house ultrasound, travel ultrasound, Digital Dental X-Ray, Digital X-Ray, and comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities including CBC, chemistry, urine testing, Vcheck, quantifiable spec fPL, and Cardiopet proBNP testing. The facility spans more than 4,000 square feet and features six beautifully themed exam rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, advanced diagnostic tools, and technologies that support the management of a wide variety of feline cases. In addition to its medical services, the hospital also provides boarding, grooming, cold laser therapy, and behavior counseling, allowing the team to support patients across a broad range of healthcare and wellness needs. The combination of specialized feline medicine, advanced equipment, and a dedicated cat-only environment creates an exceptional setting for delivering high-quality patient care.

The hospital consists of 3 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Together, the team works cohesively to provide the highest level of client and patient care. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
