Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital in Redding, California seeking a Medical Director. This is a unique leadership opportunity to join a well-established practice while helping to guide its future growth. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for cats and dogs and is dedicated to delivering high-quality medicine within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Working Hours / Rota
Full-time schedules with flexibility to support work-life balance. The Medical Director will maintain a consistent presence to lead both clinical and operational functions.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care, mentor and support veterinarians and staff, and help shape hospital protocols to maintain the highest standards of medicine. Clinical responsibilities include wellness exams, vaccinations, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, senior care, and urgent care. The hospital also offers acupuncture and preventive services, which fall under the Medical Director’s oversight. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership, providing the opportunity to guide team development and influence the overall success of the practice.
Practice Details
The hospital is a modern, full-service facility equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, ECG/EKG, and digital dental x-rays. Services include preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, senior care, emergency care, and veterinary acupuncture. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
