Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Medical Director within an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital provides comprehensive care to dogs and cats and has an established reputation for delivering high-quality medicine within a collaborative and team-oriented environment. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership role with a strong clinical focus and the ability to influence hospital standards and growth.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine clinical responsibilities with leadership duties, delivering high-quality care across wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery. In addition to managing cases and maintaining strong client relationships, the role involves mentoring and developing veterinarians, guiding medical standards, and supporting clinical decision-making across the team. The Medical Director will partner with the practice manager and leadership team to drive hospital performance, implement improvements, and foster a positive and collaborative culture. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian with the ability to lead a multi-doctor team and uphold high standards of care.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 7:30am to 12:00pm. The practice is AAHA-accredited and offers a wide range of services including wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, grooming, boarding, emergency care, and end-of-life services. The hospital is a full-service small animal general practice with a loyal and established client base and a strong focus on maintaining high medical and operational standards. Additional support includes access to leadership training resources, mentorship programs, and a broader professional network with educational and clinical support.

Team
The hospital has an established multi-doctor team supported by experienced staff in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The culture emphasizes mentorship, leadership development, and maintaining a high standard of patient care through teamwork and ongoing professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
