Our client is a hospital seeking an Experienced Medical Director to lead their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital provides comprehensive care for companion animals, delivering advanced medical, surgical, and diagnostic services in a long-established, community-rooted setting. Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. The hospital operates Monday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will oversee medical quality, mentor and support associate veterinarians, and partner with hospital leadership to maintain high standards of patient care and operational excellence. Clinical responsibilities include managing advanced medical and surgical cases across internal medicine, orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, dermatology, dentistry, and emergency care. You will set the tone for clinical standards, drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes, and support a positive, team-oriented culture. This role is open to experienced veterinarians with a passion for leadership and high-quality medicine.

This AAHA-accredited hospital is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, endoscopy, in-house endoscopy, in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, a surgical suite, intensive care capabilities, and isolation ward facilities. Services include Advanced Care, Advanced Dental Care, Bone and Joint Surgery, Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Preventive Care, Internal Medicine, Periodontics, Root Canals, Hospitalization, and Full Diagnostics. The hospital is also an Animal Quarantine Approved facility, further reflecting its comprehensive capabilities.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
