This well-established small animal hospital in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to join its collaborative four-doctor team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example, and continuing to practise high-quality medicine while helping guide the future direction of the hospital. With a loyal client base, experienced support staff, and a strong focus on clinical autonomy, the practice offers the ideal balance of leadership and hands-on medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Lead Veterinarian, you’ll combine clinical work with leadership responsibilities, providing preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and medical case management while supporting the professional development of the veterinary team. You’ll help foster a positive hospital culture, mentor colleagues, and work closely with the practice leadership team to maintain high clinical standards. Veterinarians with an interest in surgery will be particularly well suited, with opportunities to perform a diverse range of surgical procedures and continue expanding the hospital’s capabilities.

Practice Details
This full-service hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and selected exotic pets, offering services including wellness care, dentistry, orthopaedic procedures, emergency surgery, and internal medicine. The practice is committed to Fear Free-inspired handling, personalised treatment plans, and building lasting relationships with clients. Doctors enjoy clinical autonomy while benefiting from the support of a larger veterinary group, allowing them to focus on delivering outstanding patient care without sacrificing their independence.

Team
The hospital is home to three veterinarians supported by an experienced and highly skilled nursing and client care team. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
