Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring a full-time Medical Director. This fast-paced small animal practice has been established for over 30 years and provides care for dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, birds, and small farm animals. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced veterinarian seeking to play a pivotal role in the continued success of a well-established hospital, with the added benefit of a future partnership opportunity.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As the Medical Director Veterinarian, you will serve as the pivotal leader of the hospital, taking responsibility for a broad range of duties including, but not limited to, leadership and staff management, client relations, medical quality assurance, and financial oversight of the practice in partnership with the Regional Manager. This role is integral to the ongoing success of the hospital and offers the opportunity to influence both the clinical and operational direction of the practice while maintaining high standards of patient care. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering a positive and successful team environment. Specific working hours are to be discussed.
Practice Details
Operating Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with Thursdays closed, the hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside Urgent Care, creating a varied and engaging caseload. The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic technology including, but not limited to, Digital Dental X-Ray, Digital X-Ray, an In-House Laboratory, and Ultrasound. Facilities include a Complete Surgical Suite, supporting a wide range of medical and surgical procedures. Additional services include Cold Laser Therapy, further enhancing the hospital’s comprehensive approach to patient care.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
