Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring a full-time Medical Director. This small animal hospital provides care for dogs and cats and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership position within a well-equipped, AAHA-accredited practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding the clinical direction of the hospital while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care and client service.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position offers the opportunity to undertake the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities within a collaborative and supportive practice environment. In addition to providing high-quality medical care, the Medical Director will help lead the veterinary team, support clinical excellence, and contribute to the continued success of the hospital. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys mentorship, teamwork, and fostering a positive practice culture.
Practice Details
Operating Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, the hospital provides a full scope of GP services. The practice is AAHA-accredited and committed to using fear-free techniques whenever possible, reflecting its dedication to high standards of patient care. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology including Ultrasound, Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, and an In-House Laboratory. Facilities include Hands-Free Radiology, an Isolation Ward, Intensive Care Unit, In-Office Surgical Suite, and an In-House Pharmacy, supporting a diverse and engaging caseload. Additional services include Doggy Day Care, Nutritional Counseling, Pet Grooming, Oxygen and Transfusion Therapy, and DNA Breed Testing.

You will work alongside a team of 2 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. The hospital is led by a supportive leadership team focused on the success and well-being of its associates, fostering a collaborative culture built on teamwork, communication, and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
