Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal practice with a strong 4.8-star Google rating, currently seeking a full-time Medical Director. The hospital treats cats and dogs and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead the clinical team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves a full scope of GP responsibilities, including overseeing clinical standards while delivering high-quality patient care across a range of medical and preventative care cases. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience. The practice is closed over the weekend, and doctor hours are open to discussion, offering flexibility in scheduling.

Practice Details
The practice operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm and is closed on weekends. It offers a full scope of GP services, including tonometry testing and endoscopy. The hospital is equipped with an in-house lab, ultrasound, digital x-ray, a Class IV Companion Therapy Laser, and an endoscope, among other equipment not limited to this. The clinic supports a well-rounded caseload within a structured and well-equipped environment.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a great team of support staff, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
