Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Lead Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time position within a newly built, state-of-the-art small animal hospital providing care for canine and feline patients, offering an opportunity to lead clinical operations and help shape the culture and direction of the practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will combine hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibilities, including performing examinations, surgery, and managing a varied caseload of small animal cases. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, urgent care, and preventative medicine. In addition to clinical duties, the role involves leading medical operations, mentoring associate veterinarians and support staff, developing and maintaining medical protocols, and contributing to the overall performance and growth of the hospital. Doctor hours follow a full-time schedule (minimum 30 hours per week) with flexibility available. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a strong interest in leadership and team development.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The facility is newly built and fully equipped with modern tools and technology to support high-quality veterinary care. Services offered include urgent care, diagnostics, spay and neuter procedures, surgery, illness exams, kitten and puppy care, vaccinations, dental care, radiography, end-of-life care, and an in-house pharmacy. The practice emphasizes a collaborative, team-oriented culture and focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality care supported by strong infrastructure.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a skilled and collaborative support team, creating a welcoming environment with a focus on mentorship, teamwork, and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
