Our client is an AAHA accredited hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. Caring for dogs and cats, the hospital is committed to providing high-quality, progressive, and individualised medical care while fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian looking to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The role involves creating an environment where quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered through teamwork and collaboration. Working in partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for supporting the financial performance and general operations of the hospital while helping to cultivate a positive team culture. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, urgent care, holistic veterinary medicine, end-of-life care, nutrition, and pharmacy services. Additional responsibilities include advancing medical care, leading staff and practice initiatives, driving revenue and financial performance, and supporting practice growth. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only.

The hospital is committed to delivering high-quality, progressive, and individualised veterinary care supported by advanced medical and diagnostic capabilities. Equipment includes digital radiology, tonometry, in-house blood analysers, and electronic medical records. Services offered include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, holistic veterinary medicine, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition, pharmacy services, and urgent care. The practice promotes a culture centred on teamwork, collaboration, and continuous advancement in patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
