Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats and is seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead its experienced veterinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian looking to combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities in a well-established, AAHA-accredited practice. Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will serve as both a clinical leader and mentor while maintaining an active caseload. Responsibilities include promoting high standards of patient care, supporting and developing veterinary and support staff, fostering strong client relationships, and collaborating with hospital leadership to ensure continued growth and operational success. Clinical duties include preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, pain management, urology cases, geriatric medicine, and routine wellness services. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys leadership, teamwork, and helping create a positive, supportive hospital culture while continuing to practice exceptional medicine.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital is equipped with advanced technology and diagnostic capabilities to support comprehensive patient care. Equipment includes digital radiology, ultrasound, EKG, Tonopen technology, an in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, and a dedicated surgical suite. Services offered include preventive care, allergy and dermatology management, anesthesia, dental care with dental radiographs, dentistry, full diagnostics, general surgery, soft tissue surgery, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, geriatric medicine, health certificates, pain management, periodontics, radiology, and urology. The hospital actively participates in shelter and rescue programs and is committed to Fear Free and hands-free handling approaches. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 8:00pm, Friday from 7:30am to 7:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The hospital is supported by 7 DVMs and a great tenured support team. Multiple doctors have been with the practice for more than 15 years, creating a collaborative and stable environment where mentorship, teamwork, and professional growth are highly valued. The leadership structure includes an established management team, allowing the Medical Director to focus on both clinical excellence and team development while working alongside experienced colleagues dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
