Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal practice seeking a Medical Director to lead their team, offering a full-time opportunity working with dogs and cats.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibilities, delivering high-quality patient care while guiding the clinical direction of the hospital. Responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnostics, and treatments, as well as overseeing preventive care and general medicine. The role involves mentoring and supporting associate veterinarians, collaborating closely with the Practice Manager, and ensuring strong operational performance and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for maintaining high professional standards, driving medical quality, and fostering a collaborative team culture. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This is a small animal practice that has been serving the community for over 30 years, offering a stable and established environment with a strong client base. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and surgical and therapy lasers, as well as an in-house pharmacy. Services include comprehensive preventive care, diagnostic imaging, nutritional guidance, parasite control, and general veterinary services to support overall pet health. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is closed on weekends, supporting a balanced schedule. The practice is located near outdoor recreational areas, providing an attractive lifestyle alongside a rewarding professional environment.

Team
The team currently includes 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive workplace.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
