Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing small animal and exotic veterinary care and is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their growing practice. This is a modern, well-equipped clinic focused on delivering high-quality medicine within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on weekends. The role offers full-time or part-time flexibility, with after-hours requirements to be discussed with the practice.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will provide high-quality general medicine and surgery while maintaining an active clinical caseload. Responsibilities include building strong client relationships, collaborating closely with the team, and pursuing clinical interests. In the leadership capacity, the role involves mentoring and supporting veterinarians and staff, guiding medical standards and protocols, and partnering with leadership to support hospital growth and culture. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
This is a rapidly growing, modern hospital equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, an in-house laboratory, and ultrasound. The practice offers services including wellness care, dental care, medical and surgical services, diagnostics, and urgent care, supporting both small animals and exotics. The hospital emphasizes preventative care, client education, and staying current with advancements in veterinary technology, all within a positive and collaborative culture supported by strong leadership.

The team consists of 1 DVM supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
