Introduction
Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital, founded in 1961, seeking a Medical Director to lead their dedicated and collaborative team. The practice provides comprehensive care to dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotic species, offering a diverse and engaging caseload. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who wants to remain highly clinical while also influencing medical standards, mentoring colleagues, and helping guide the hospital’s continued success.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Saturday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The position offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time scheduling, allowing the role to be tailored to the right candidate’s preferences.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will spend 90% or more of your time practicing medicine, maintaining a strong hands-on clinical presence while providing meaningful leadership to the veterinary team. Clinical duties include wellness and preventive care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, pain management, nutrition, and exotic medicine. Leadership responsibilities include supporting and guiding associate veterinarians, ensuring medical and regulatory standards are upheld, and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient care and client service. This role is designed for an experienced DVM who enjoys balancing clinical practice with mentorship and leadership.

Practice Details
The hospital is well equipped to support high-quality medicine, featuring digital radiography and a therapy laser, along with the tools needed to deliver comprehensive care across multiple species. Services include wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, pain management, nutrition support, and exotic animal care, allowing for a varied and fulfilling scope of practice.

You will work alongside two experienced veterinarians and a highly tenured, dedicated support staff. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
