Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking an experienced veterinarian to join their team as Managing DVM. This is a successful and team-focused practice that provides high-quality care for dogs and cats, and the role offers an excellent opportunity for a growth-minded individual to step into leadership.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. The position is offered on a full-time basis within these hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Managing DVM will provide both medical and non-medical leadership for the hospital, guiding associate veterinarians and ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations. Responsibilities include advancing medical care, monitoring the practice’s financial performance, and setting the direction of the clinic. The role also involves fostering collaboration and teamwork, while maintaining a steady caseload of medical and surgical cases. This position is open to experienced veterinarians ready to take on a leadership role.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with in-house digital radiology, ultrasound, and dental facilities. Services include wellness and preventive care, dentistry, surgery, radiology, house calls, and final pet care. The practice is client-focused, with an emphasis on delivering compassionate and high-quality veterinary medicine.

Team
The team consists of two full-time veterinarians supported by two certified veterinary technicians and four veterinary assistants. The technical team is highly utilized, ensuring doctors are well supported in their daily caseloads. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and service-oriented, creating an ideal setting for a Managing DVM who values teamwork.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
