Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead a large specialty and emergency veterinary hospital, overseeing a multidisciplinary team delivering advanced, high-quality care. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7, providing continuous emergency and specialty care. The position is full-time and flexible scheduling options are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role combines clinical leadership with strategic and operational responsibilities, overseeing both emergency and specialty services within the hospital. Responsibilities include leading and developing veterinary teams, managing doctor recruitment, onboarding, and performance, and ensuring the delivery of efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. The Medical Director works collaboratively within a leadership structure to support hospital operations, including workflow management, scheduling, financial performance, and long-term planning. The role also involves mentoring veterinarians, supporting referral relationships, and addressing client and patient care concerns. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians with a strong leadership background and a passion for team development and clinical excellence.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital provides comprehensive 24/7 emergency care alongside a wide range of specialty services including anesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, radiology, rehabilitation, surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, and urgent care. The facility is equipped with advanced technology such as high-flow oxygen, mechanical ventilation, MR imaging, and extracorporeal therapies including hemodialysis and apheresis. The hospital supports a highly advanced caseload and offers a state-of-the-art environment designed to deliver best-in-class specialty and emergency care.

Team
The hospital is supported by a large, multidisciplinary team of 37 DVMs across various specialties, working within a collaborative and highly skilled environment that emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and continuous development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
