Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a mixed animal hospital seeing small animal, equine, and bovine patients, and they are hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Wednesday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12 noon, remaining closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are open to discussion, with full-time preferred.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This is a full-service GP role encompassing surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and wellness care. The Medical Director is responsible for creating a positive teamwork environment where veterinarians and staff deliver quality medicine and exceptional client service. In partnership with the Practice Manager, you will provide medical leadership for the practice, manage associate veterinarians, and ensure regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. This role is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs supported by a tenured team of support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
