Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Lead Veterinarian to join their veterinary team providing care for companion animals. This position offers the opportunity to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities while maintaining a strong focus on high-quality veterinary medicine. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about mentoring colleagues, supporting clinical standards, and helping guide a collaborative hospital team.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. Hospital hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care including wellness exams, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and general medical care while supporting the development of the veterinary team. Responsibilities include examining patients, diagnosing medical conditions, creating treatment plans, performing surgical procedures, and guiding the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The Lead Veterinarian will also mentor associate veterinarians, contribute to maintaining clinical standards, and collaborate with hospital leadership to support team development and operational success. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospital provides a wide range of veterinary services including primary care, behavioral consultations, dermatology, diagnostics, euthanasia, kitten care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, oncology diagnostics, oral health, prescription management, puppy care, senior pet care, spaying and neutering, surgery, travel documentation, vaccinations, and wellness exams. The practice focuses on delivering high-quality veterinary medicine while allowing veterinarians autonomy to practice according to strong clinical standards.

The hospital has 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for delivering high-quality patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
