Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to lead a well-established general practice while fostering a collaborative culture and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care. Working alongside the Practice Manager and leadership team, the successful candidate will help guide the hospital’s continued growth while supporting the professional development of both veterinarians and support staff.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active caseload, delivering advanced medicine and surgery alongside preventative care, wellness services, diagnostics, dentistry, and comprehensive companion animal care. Responsibilities include mentoring veterinarians, supporting and developing support staff, partnering with the Practice Manager and leadership team to implement strategies for continued growth, and maintaining the highest standards of patient and client care. The role also involves fostering a collaborative hospital culture, strengthening client relationships, and leading by example through clinical excellence. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills, a passion for surgery and mentorship, and a commitment to building a positive, team-focused workplace.

Practice Details
This well-established general practice hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats throughout Nashua and the surrounding Southern New Hampshire communities. The hospital places a strong emphasis on preventative care, wellness medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, internal medicine, and companion animal healthcare. The facility includes four examination rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, a wet treatment table, digital radiography, and digital dental radiography, allowing the team to provide a broad range of medical and surgical services. The practice is AAHA accredited and offers wellness examinations, sick and illness appointments, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, preventative dental care, spay and neuter procedures, blood, urine and faecal testing, diagnostic testing, orthopaedics, surgery, and end-of-life care. Nearby urgent care and emergency hospitals provide additional support for advanced and emergency cases. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and offers flexible full-time scheduling, including four-day work weeks. The practice is known for its collaborative, family-oriented culture, loyal client base, and continued investment in its people, facilities, and future growth.

Team
The hospital is led by an experienced and highly supportive Practice Manager who is also a skilled RVT, fostering a collaborative and family-oriented culture built on teamwork, respect, accountability, compassion, and reliability. The team is highly engaged and committed to supporting one another, with continued investment in additional support staff planned alongside the appointment of the new Medical Director.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
