Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a Medical Director to join a full-service, year-round veterinary practice providing care to dogs and cats. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead a team within a setting that combines general practice and urgent care, delivering high-quality medicine supported by advanced diagnostics.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a combination of clinical and leadership responsibilities, including overseeing medical standards while providing hands-on care across wellness exams, sick visits, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and preventative medicine. The Medical Director will be responsible for maintaining high clinical standards and supporting the team in delivering quality patient care. This is a full-time position suited to experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
Our client is a full-service, year-round hospital offering a blend of general practice, urgent care, and emergency services. The practice provides care for non-life-threatening urgent cases such as vomiting, limping, fatigue, and infections, alongside routine and preventative care. Services include wellness exams, sick and illness exams, vaccinations, heartworm, flea and tick prevention, dental care, spay and neuter procedures, diagnostic testing, acupuncture, emergency care, and end-of-life care. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology and diagnostics to support a high standard of medicine. Hospital opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

The team consists of 7 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on teamwork and delivering consistent, high-quality care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
