Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal hospital seeking a Managing Veterinarian to lead its dedicated two-doctor team and guide the practice into its next chapter of growth. This full-service hospital provides exceptional care across a wide range of medical and surgical services, including soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, C-sections, and theriogenology. The role offers an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian with a passion for leadership, surgery, reproduction, dentistry, and client communication to shape the hospital’s future while continuing to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Wednesday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The position offers a flexible schedule to support a healthy work-life balance, with no after-hours or emergency responsibilities required.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This leadership position combines clinical excellence with the opportunity to mentor and inspire a collaborative veterinary team. The Managing Veterinarian will oversee day-to-day clinical operations while maintaining an active caseload that includes surgery, dentistry, and reproductive medicine. The practice handles a diverse range of cases, from routine wellness and preventive care to complex surgical and medical procedures, offering continuous opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate will be confident in their medical skills, committed to mentorship, and eager to cultivate a culture of excellence, learning, and teamwork within the hospital.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology, including digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, and a Co2 surgical laser for precision procedures with minimal discomfort. The team provides comprehensive services such as wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, theriogenology, in-house diagnostics, pharmacy, and pet boarding. Leadership is committed to continuous improvement and open to investing in additional equipment to meet evolving clinical needs and support professional development.

The practice is home to two veterinarians supported by an experienced and dedicated team focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
