Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary hospital hiring for a Medical Director. The hospital is a well-established and progressive practice in Miami, Florida with a loyal client base and a focus on delivering high-quality veterinary medicine within a collaborative clinical environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates 24 hours a day, providing continuous care and emergency services.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee clinical operations while delivering high-quality veterinary care within a busy hospital environment. Responsibilities include supporting and mentoring the clinical team, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. The role also involves overseeing emergency cases and utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities available at the hospital. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free certified, and VECCS certified facility providing comprehensive veterinary services for small animals. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced technology including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house diagnostic testing, and access to external laboratories. The hospital offers a broad range of services including advanced dental care, dermatology, echocardiography, EKG, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, and digital radiology. Preventive care services include wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, weight management programs, and preventive medicine. Primary care services include anesthesia, dental care, dentistry with dental X-rays, emergency care, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates, hospitalization, in-house laboratory and pharmacy services, surgical procedures including spays and neuters, intensive care, isolation wards, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, radiology, and urology.

Team
The hospital team consists of 7 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and experienced working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
