A leading 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a Medical Director to help lead its multidisciplinary team. This is an outstanding opportunity to combine approximately 50% clinical practice with 50% leadership, allowing you to continue practising advanced medicine while shaping the clinical direction, culture, and long-term success of a thriving referral hospital. Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you’ll partner closely with the Hospital Director to provide strategic leadership while maintaining an active clinical caseload within your specialty or emergency discipline. You’ll oversee the medical team, mentor and support veterinarians, uphold the highest standards of patient care, and help drive clinical excellence across the hospital. Working within MedVet’s Dyad Leadership Model, you’ll contribute to hospital strategy, workflow improvements, doctor engagement, and the continued development of a collaborative, high-performing clinical culture.

This busy 24/7 emergency and specialty referral centre provides comprehensive care across a wide range of disciplines, supported by advanced diagnostic equipment, modern facilities, and experienced multidisciplinary teams. Working alongside an experienced Hospital Director, you’ll help foster an engaged and supportive culture where mentorship, communication, and continuous learning are central to delivering exceptional patient and client care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
