Our client is a hospital seeking a Multi-site Medical Director to support and lead general medicine practices in Memphis, Tennessee. The hospitals provide veterinary care for dogs and cats and focus on delivering compassionate, high-quality medicine while helping pet owners make informed decisions about their pets’ health. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about mentoring teams, driving medical excellence, and supporting patient care across multiple sites.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Multi-site Medical Director will support and mentor veterinarians across the hospitals, working closely with practice managers and hospital leadership to promote medical excellence and improve patient care outcomes. Responsibilities include guiding clinical teams, supporting professional development through mentorship and leadership resources, and helping maintain high standards of veterinary medicine across the sites. Clinical responsibilities are centered around general practice care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, laboratory testing, spay and neuter procedures, mass removals, and senior and junior pet care. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospitals are general medicine practices serving the East Memphis area and surrounding communities. Services offered include wellness exams, vaccinations, microchip implantation, puppy and kitten care, senior care, in-house diagnostics and laboratory services, spay and neuter procedures, mass removals, emergency support, and physical therapy. The practices also provide comprehensive health evaluations covering general appearance, eyes, ears, mouth and teeth, coat and skin, respiratory health, cardiovascular health, gastrointestinal health, urogenital health, lymphatic system, musculoskeletal functions, and neurological functions. The surgical teams use advanced monitoring equipment and modern anesthetic protocols to support patient safety.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
