Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established veterinary practice seeking a Medical Director to join their team in a full-time position. The practice provides care for cats and dogs and has built a flourishing reputation for delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for its team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary care while using excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with clients. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and leading a team to achieve clinical excellence. The practice offers a flexible schedule of three or four days per week, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.
Practice Details
The practice is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. They provide a wide range of services including wellness care, preventative medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, laser therapy, dentistry, soft tissue procedures, and orthopaedic procedures. The hospital accommodates both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries and has seamless referral relationships with nearby emergency and specialty clinics. The practice is equipped with a large surgical suite and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including an Abaxis suite for in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasound, a Tonopen and Doppler blood pressure unit, a therapeutic laser, and stem cell therapy equipment.
Team
The team includes one DVM, and a team of experienced technicians, and support staff. The successful candidate will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Director to support the continued success of the practice.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
