Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing small animal veterinary care, primarily seeing cats and dogs, with exotics optional depending on clinician interest. They are currently hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead the clinical team while continuing to deliver a high standard of general practice medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. This is a full-time position, with doctor hours open to discussion to allow for flexibility where possible.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This is an experienced-level role encompassing the full scope of general practice veterinary responsibilities alongside leadership duties. The Medical Director Veterinarian will be expected to provide comprehensive GP care while taking on clinical leadership responsibilities within the hospital.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped and operates as a full-service general practice. Facilities include six exam rooms supported by advanced equipment such as laser therapy, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and dental radiology. Hands-free radiology is available to support efficient diagnostics. The team is Fear Free Certified, reflecting a strong commitment to patient comfort and low-stress handling.

Team
The practice operates as a three-doctor hospital supported by a well-trained team of support staff, fostering a collaborative clinical environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
