Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their thriving small animal practice caring for dogs and cats.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will serve as the clinical leader, overseeing all professional services, implementing veterinary and patient care policies and procedures, and serving as the veterinarian in charge. Responsibilities include mentoring associate DVMs, supporting their professional growth, and contributing to hospital operations, strategic planning, and continuous improvement. Clinical duties include providing wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition guidance, pharmacy services, and urgent care. This role is suited for an experienced veterinarian passionate about leadership, mentorship, and delivering high-quality care.

The hospital is a full-service small animal practice equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical tools, supporting a high-quality, compassionate standard of care. The facility offers services in wellness, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory, microchipping, nutrition, pharmacy, and urgent care within a well-respected, community-focused environment.

The hospital has four DVMs supported by an exceptional support team, operating within a collaborative, team-focused culture that values mentorship, medical excellence, and a positive environment for both clients and staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
