Introduction
Our client is a feline-exclusive veterinary hospital in Marietta, Georgia, seeking a dedicated Medical Director to lead their compassionate team. This Fear Free Certified practice specializes in providing high-quality, personalized care for cats and has built a reputation for excellence since opening in 2006.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, alternating Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Medical Director role offers flexibility with scheduling options. There are no emergency or on-call responsibilities, and appointments are scheduled in one-hour blocks to ensure thorough and attentive care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will focus exclusively on feline patients, overseeing both clinical work and leadership responsibilities. Alongside providing comprehensive services such as preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, senior care, grooming, and behavioral consultations, the Medical Director will guide and mentor the veterinary team, uphold the highest standards of patient care, and help shape the hospital’s long-term medical strategy. This role emphasizes client education, collaboration with certified feline behaviorists, and maintaining a calm, feline-focused environment.

Practice Details
The hospital features a dedicated feline surgical suite, digital radiology, an in-house laboratory, a treatment and surgery prep room, and two exam rooms designed specifically for cats. The practice does not perform declaw procedures and is deeply committed to feline wellness through advanced medicine and behavioral support. In addition to medical and surgical services, the hospital offers grooming and boarding for cats in a low-stress environment.

Team
The hospital is home to three experienced veterinarians supported by a skilled and compassionate team of veterinary staff. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in leading this collaborative, mentoring-focused team, ensuring both professional growth and exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
