Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established full-service small animal hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their team in a full-time position. The hospital provides care for cats and dogs and has built a strong local reputation for combining high-quality veterinary medicine with a compassionate, relationship-driven approach to care.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will play a vital role in leading the veterinary team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional medical care to patients. You will oversee all medical aspects of the practice, providing leadership, guidance, and clinical expertise to a dedicated team of veterinary professionals. The role also holds shared responsibility for the financial health of the hospital, directing staff and supporting the overall management of practice operations. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with previous leadership experience or someone who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and is closed on weekends. They offer a comprehensive range of services including preventative and wellness care, surgery, dentistry, in-house diagnostics and laboratory services, urgent care during business hours, acupuncture, internal medicine, cold laser therapy, and geriatric care. The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, bloodwork, cytology, urinalysis, and dental X-ray equipment to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by an experienced and well-tenured support team who work together to provide excellent care for their patients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
