Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established general practice providing veterinary care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets including mice, rats, gerbils, and rabbits. They are seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to join the practice on a full-time basis. The practice has been established for over 40 years and has built a loyal clientele and a strong focus on patient care and long-term client relationships.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will lead the veterinary team while continuing to provide clinical care across a varied caseload averaging 16-18 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, sick patient care, dentistry, diagnostics, imaging, surgery, urgent care, emergency care, and alternative medicine. The role requires a veterinarian who is passionate about patient care, committed to continuous growth and excellence, and able to thrive within a positive and supportive environment. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The practice features modern equipment including digital X-ray, digital dental technology, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory capabilities. Services include wellness exams, vaccinations, illness and injury care, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter procedures, parasite prevention, deworming, allergies and dermatology, pet surgery, urgent care, emergency care, and alternative medicine. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

The practice currently has one DVM alongside a great tenured support team, with a support staff ratio of 2:1. The team culture is collaborative, teaching-focused, and skilled, providing a positive environment for teamwork and continued professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
