Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their team in Eagle Rock, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about leadership, high-quality medicine, and supporting both pets and their owners. The hospital treats cats, dogs, and exotics and offers a supportive, growth-oriented culture.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends and Mondays. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality veterinary care while leading and mentoring the team. Clinical responsibilities include general medicine and surgery, wellness care, dentistry, and exotic pet cases. This position is open to either experienced veterinarians or those looking to step into a leadership role with support.
Practice Details
The hospital is a well-established, community-focused practice providing comprehensive care for pets. Equipment and facilities include in-house diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical capabilities. Services offered include wellness care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental procedures, spay and neuter, microchipping, and treatment of exotic species. The culture emphasizes collaboration, growth, and creating a supportive environment for both staff and clients.
Team
The team currently includes one DVM supported by a dedicated and skilled support staff. The environment is welcoming, collaborative, and designed to encourage learning and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
