Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. Caring for dogs and cats, this full-service animal hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through a collaborative, Fear Free approach to veterinary medicine. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian looking to combine hands-on clinical practice with leadership responsibilities while helping to guide a thriving and supportive team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will lead and manage the hospital while ensuring the highest standards of medical care, client experience, team engagement, and hospital productivity. You will advocate for patient wellbeing, strengthen relationships with clients and team members, and educate both staff and clients on pet health and the human-animal bond. Clinical responsibilities include preventive care, complete diagnostic workups, treatment planning, client communication, follow-up care, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, dermatology and allergy management, and diagnostic imaging. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring and developing associate veterinarians, partnering with hospital leadership on recruitment, training, coaching, scheduling, budgeting, and productivity planning, as well as ensuring efficient hospital operations and a positive workplace culture. You will also oversee client experience initiatives, resolve client concerns, and lead the hospital team through daily caseload management. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only.
Practice Details
This full-service small animal hospital provides a broad range of veterinary services including spay and neuter procedures, dental radiology, pet microchipping, wellness examinations, dental care, parasite prevention, vaccinations, pet surgeries, diagnostic testing, advanced diagnostic imaging, dermatology and allergy care, laser therapy, pet health certificates, end-of-life support, pet prescriptions, pet nutrition services, and urgent care. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The practice is committed to Fear Free methods and fostering an environment where team members can perform at their best while delivering exceptional patient and client experiences. Hospital leadership works closely together to support medical quality, team development, operational excellence, and continued growth.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
