Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their established team within a full-service practice. The hospital provides progressive, high-quality care to small animal patients and offers a supportive environment for both clinical excellence and leadership development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to small animals, managing a varied caseload that includes routine wellness, diagnostics, and more complex medical and surgical cases. In addition to clinical duties, the role involves leading the veterinary team, supporting mentorship and professional development, maintaining high medical standards, and guiding the overall direction of patient care within the hospital. Responsibilities include collaborating with the wider team, fostering a positive and team-oriented culture, and ensuring strong client communication. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership role while remaining actively involved in clinical practice.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The 12,000-square-foot facility includes spacious exam rooms, a modern treatment area, an advanced surgery suite, a dedicated dental area, digital radiography, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, a full in-house pharmacy, boarding accommodations, and daycare services. Services offered include soft tissue surgery, digital radiology, in-house laboratory services, dental care and dental X-rays, anesthesia, pain management, general and routine surgery, spays and neuters, urology, geriatric medicine, diabetes management, allergy and dermatologic care, preventive medicine, immunizations, microchipping, nutritional and behavioral counseling, wellness testing, and euthanasia services. The hospital supports ongoing professional development with continuing education opportunities and access to advanced medical resources and technology.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by an experienced support staff. The environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, with an emphasis on professional growth and access to advanced tools and resources.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
