Our client is a hospital that is hiring a full-time Medical Director. This full-service small animal hospital cares for cats and dogs and has proudly served pets and their families with compassionate, comprehensive care for over 60 years, establishing a respected and trusted presence within the community. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to step into a leadership position within a well-established practice that is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, outstanding client service, and a positive team culture.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position offers the opportunity to undertake the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities while continuing to practice high-quality medicine and build lasting client relationships. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of veterinarians and support staff, promoting medical excellence and exceptional patient care, partnering with hospital leadership to support growth and operational success, helping establish and maintain medical protocols and best practices, and fostering a positive, collaborative hospital culture. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership abilities who is passionate about developing others while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine. Specific working hours are to be discussed further.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 7:30am to 12:00pm, remaining closed on Sundays. The practice provides a full scope of GP services and is equipped with modern diagnostic technology including, but not limited to, ultrasound, Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, and an In-House Laboratory. As an AAHA-accredited hospital, the practice is committed to maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care. In addition to its comprehensive medical services, the hospital also offers therapeutic laser treatment, boarding, and grooming, allowing it to provide well-rounded care and support for pets throughout every stage of life. With more than six decades of service to the community, the hospital has built a reputation for compassionate care, clinical excellence, and long-term client relationships.

Team
You will join a team of 2 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Doctors, technicians, and client service professionals work seamlessly together to provide outstanding care, trusted communication, and the best possible outcomes for pets and their families. The collaborative team environment supports the delivery of exceptional veterinary medicine while fostering a workplace built on teamwork, professionalism, and a shared commitment to patient and client care. As Medical Director, you will have the opportunity to guide and mentor the team while helping to maintain a culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and continued professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
