Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time Medical Director to join an established small animal practice caring for cats and dogs. Since 1985, the hospital has been delivering trusted, high-quality veterinary services with heart, building deep community roots while maintaining a forward-thinking approach to veterinary medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to lead a dedicated team while continuing to practise high-quality medicine.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead, inspire, and shape the future of the hospital while continuing to provide exceptional patient care. This role combines hands-on clinical work with mentorship and leadership responsibilities, allowing the successful candidate to guide a passionate team, uphold the hospital’s tradition of outstanding veterinary medicine, and help define its vision for the years ahead. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both day-to-day patient care and the long-term growth of the hospital. The practice is open to discussing a schedule that works best for both the successful candidate and the hospital. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian who has already worked in a senior role or is ready to take the next step into a leadership position.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Services include wellness care, surgery, diagnostics, dentistry, urgent care, senior pet care, cardiology, tonometry, pet cryosurgery, cold laser therapy, and pain management. The practice features fantastic facilities designed to support excellent veterinary medicine and is equipped with radiology, ultrasound, a surgical suite, and cold laser technology.
Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a fantastic team of support staff. The practice has created a supportive and upbeat environment where collaboration, professional growth, and compassion are at the heart of everything the team does.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
