Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital that has been part of the League City community since 1993 and is now seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their team. The hospital cares exclusively for cats and dogs, and they are looking for an experienced clinician who can provide strong leadership while continuing to deliver high-quality veterinary care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. until noon, and is closed on Sundays. The schedule for doctors is open to discussion, as they place strong emphasis on work-life balance, great benefits, and advanced scheduling. They can accommodate either full-time or part-time availability.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead by example, collaborate closely with the hospital administrator, and promote a positive and supportive culture. The role requires maintaining an environment centered around teamwork while delivering the highest standards of medicine and surgical procedures. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only, requiring a minimum of four years of clinical experience and ideally at least two years of leadership experience.
Practice Details
This full-service hospital has been serving the local community since 1993 and is well-equipped to deliver a full scope of general practice and urgent care veterinary services. The clinic maintains a strong culture of providing comprehensive care through reliable equipment and a supportive infrastructure.
Team
The hospital currently has three DVMs and a full team of support staff, creating a collaborative environment focused on delivering excellent patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
