Job Description
Introduction
A veterinary group in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead the reopening of a community veterinary hospital. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to build a hospital from the ground up, shaping the culture, clinical standards, and team structure while delivering high-quality veterinary care to the local community. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, with scheduling designed to support a balanced workload while ensuring consistent access to veterinary services for the community. As the hospital reopens and grows, the Medical Director will have input into developing schedules and workflows that support both team wellbeing and efficient patient care.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will serve as the clinical leader of the hospital, combining hands-on veterinary medicine with leadership responsibilities. The role includes establishing and maintaining high standards of veterinary care, developing medical protocols, and providing guidance on complex cases. The Medical Director will work closely with the Practice Manager to oversee hospital operations, monitor performance metrics, and support financial sustainability. Additional responsibilities include mentoring veterinarians and support staff, helping recruit and develop the clinical team, maintaining regulatory compliance, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives within the hospital.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
