Job Description

Introduction
A well-established small animal hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a Medical Director to lead its three-doctor team. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical practice with leadership, shaping medical standards, mentoring colleagues, and driving the continued success of a busy general practice supported by a national veterinary network.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a full-time schedule that includes rotating weekends as needed, offering a balanced structure while maintaining strong access to care for clients.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead the clinical team while maintaining an active caseload, setting and upholding standards of medical excellence, mentoring veterinarians and support staff, and partnering with leadership to support hospital performance, operational efficiency, and a positive, collaborative culture.

Practice Details
This modern small animal hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, supported by advanced diagnostic equipment including digital radiography and ultrasound, and a strong focus on fear-free techniques, hands-free radiology, and high-quality, evidence-based medicine within a well-supported clinical environment.

Team
You will lead a team of three veterinarians supported by skilled technicians and support staff, working within a collaborative and supportive culture that values mentorship, teamwork, and continuous professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
