Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their small animal practice. This is a full-time position providing care to dogs, cats, and exotic patients. The hospital has been serving its community for almost 50 years and is focused on delivering high-quality, progressive, and individualized medical care supported by advanced diagnostic capabilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide medical leadership within the hospital while remaining highly active clinically, spending the majority of time practicing medicine. Responsibilities include advancing medical care, managing and mentoring associate veterinarians, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a collaborative team environment that prioritizes quality medicine and client service. The role also involves contributing to practice growth, supporting financial performance, and helping to shape hospital culture and standards. Doctor hours follow a Monday to Friday daytime schedule. The role is suited to experienced veterinarians, with experience in exotics noted.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. The practice offers a wide range of services including wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, urgent care, nutrition, pharmacy services, microchipping, end-of-life care, and specialty and exotic pet care. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and medical capabilities to support high-quality patient care and individualized treatment plans. The practice has a long-standing presence in the community and is committed to progressive medicine and strong clinical standards.

Team
The hospital is staffed by four DVMs and supported by a collaborative team environment focused on teamwork, quality care, and professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
