Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring a full-time Medical Director to lead its veterinary team while continuing to provide exceptional patient care. Caring for cats and dogs, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership position within a well-equipped, AAHA-accredited practice that offers a broad range of medical, surgical, and urgent care services.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves undertaking the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities while serving as the clinical leader of the hospital. The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care, mentor and support fellow veterinarians, help guide clinical standards, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice. This role is ideally suited to an experienced veterinarian looking to combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture. Specific working hours are to be discussed, with no weekend commitments.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on weekends, supporting an excellent work-life balance. Providing a full scope of GP services, the practice also offers services including, but not limited to, Advanced Dental Care, Orthopedics, Cryosurgery, and Urgent Care, creating a diverse and engaging caseload. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology including, but not limited to, a new ultrasound machine, Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, Tonopen, and an In-House Laboratory. Additional facilities include hands-free radiology, a physical therapy department with an underwater treadmill, cold laser and rehabilitation equipment, an Isolation Ward, an In-Office Surgical Suite, and an In-House Pharmacy. The practice is AAHA accredited and incorporates Fear Free Certified associates whenever possible. Additional services include Pet Boarding, Pet Counseling, Pet Grooming, and Oxygen and Transfusion Therapy.

You will be working alongside 3 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Together, the team works seamlessly to deliver exceptional patient care and client service while maintaining a positive and supportive workplace environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
