Job Description
Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal practice providing exceptional veterinary care for cats and dogs. They are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The practice operates Monday through Friday, offering a professional, client-focused environment without weekend shifts.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative healthcare services to companion animals while ensuring excellent client communication and patient care. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, developing treatment plans, performing routine and advanced surgical procedures, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging, and maintaining accurate medical records.
The role involves close collaboration with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide efficient patient care. The Associate Veterinarian will educate pet owners on treatment options and preventative health measures, participate in emergency and urgent care cases as needed, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinical environment. This opportunity is suited for experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital offers advanced medical and surgical care for companion animals. The practice is equipped with up-to-date technology, including a new ultrasound machine, hands-free radiology, dental x-rays, an in-house laboratory, a surgical suite, and comprehensive diagnostic capabilities. Facilities include a physical therapy department with an underwater treadmill, cold laser and other rehabilitation equipment, as well as an isolation ward.
Services include advanced dental care, animal rehabilitation, bone and joint surgery, cold laser therapy, cryosurgery, diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, EKG, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, tonopen, ultrasound, and health certification. The hospital provides progressive care in a supportive and professional environment for both patients and staff, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Team
The hospital is led by two DVMs supported by a robust support staff, including two dedicated technicians/RVTs per doctor. The team environment is collaborative, ethical, and empathetic, with an emphasis on Fear Free practices whenever possible, fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture for both staff and patients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
